The Historiska Museet (National History Museum) in Stockholm is the national museum for Swedish history and archaeology - from the Stone Age to the Viking Age and the Middle Ages. The highlight is the "Gold Room" with spectacular finds, complemented by interactive exhibitions such as "Vikingarnas värld" - ideal for culture and history enthusiasts from all over the world.

Opening hours 2025

In the summer season (June 1 - August 31, 2025), the museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00.
In the period September 1 - December 31, 2025: closed on Mondays, Tue-Sun 11:00-17:00, open until 20:00 on Wednesdays.
Closed on Midsommarafton (June 20) and Midsommardagen (June 21).
